Après avoir étudié les arts appliqués au lycée Édouard-Branly à Dreux, elle décide de se réorienter et d’aller étudier à l’École supérieure d’art et de design TALM à Tours.
Elle a exposé en 2025 et 2026 à la galerie éphémère d’Alençon lors d’Estiv’Art.

Clara Doiteau is a French artist born in 2000. She develops a multidisciplinary practice around contemplation from her home, in Rouessé-Fontaine, France.
After she studied applied arts at Édouard-Branly high school in Dreux, she decided to reorient herself and go study at the TALM School of Art and Design in Tours.
She exhibited her work during Estiv’Art in Alençon in 2026 and 2025.
Je vois mon art comme une distraction du quotidien. J’invente pour donner à contempler tout comme je confectionne pour susciter des connexions.
Mes œuvres sont la concrétisation d’expérimentations. Je suis mon instinct et mes intuitions. Je compose avec de multiples supports et matériaux, comme, par exemple, le plâtre, la laine, la peinture acrylique, le papier, des restes de tissus… Je peux utiliser ces matériaux de façon dite traditionnelle ou non-traditionnelle.
J’élabore dans mon travail une recherche visuelle liée à la composition, aux textures et aux couleurs. J’essaie de transmettre à travers mon art de l’espoir, relié à une certaine fragilité et à de la nostalgie rattachée à l’idée de l’enfance. Dans mes œuvres reviennent souvent la figure du chien, les fleurs et les paysages.
Je m’inspire de ce qui m’entoure, de la vie en général; je cherche à y cueillir la lumière et la beauté du quotidien. J’essaie de constituer un langage propre à moi-même afin de traduire mes ressentis face à ce sujet et à la nature, de faire refléter mes émotions et sensations présentes lors de mes contemplations.

Creating my artworks is for me a way of liberating myself from my emotions, but also a way for me to reconnect with me personally. Creating permits me to feel free.
I see my art as a distraction from everyday life. I am conceiving to give something to contemplate as I fabricate to bring connections.
My artworks are the results of experimentation. I follow my instinct. I compose with multiple supports and materials, like for example, plaster, yarn, acrylic paint, paper, textile waste… I can use those materials in a traditional way as well as a non-traditional way.
My work is a visual research linked to composition, textures and colors. I try to transmit through my art hope, related to a certain fragility and nostalgia attached to childhood. The dog figure, flowers and landscapes are often present in my pieces.
I get inspired by what’s around me, from life in general; I’m looking for the light and beauty of everyday life. I try to compose my own language to translate my feelings about this subject and nature, to try to reflect my emotions and sensations present when I’m contemplating.
